About D-LiFE

D-LiFE is a party at MotorCity Wine in Detroit held every year on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend featuring top-tier djs and live acts from Detroit, Chicago, and beyond.

D-LiFE History

The first incarnation of what would become D-Life was a party called DCBL (Detroit-Chicago-Barcelona-Love) held in 2014 with DJ Minx, Monty Luke, Iz & Diz, Aiby & The Noise, and Tres Manos at MotorCity Wine.

From 2015 until 2020 the party was called Day Life as it ran in the daytime from 2pm–10pm. Starting back up after the pandemic, we moved to a day-to-night format and hence the name was changed to D-Life.

The "D" in D-Life now signifies Detroit. Throughout the event's history, we have always featured djs and producers from Detroit along with regular talent from Chicago and beyond.

Detroit and Chicago are not only inextricably linked musically but the two complimentary genres of house and techno that have emanated from these sister cities have gone on to become a global force for positive change in the world.
